Cheesymite Scrolls

Fluffy warm scrolls filled with Vegemite and cheese? Yes Please!

This is my go to recipe for scrolls but you could also use for a loaf of bread, bread rolls, pull apart breads. So versatile! 

Taste so amazing fresh from the oven and total cost about $3.50 for 16 large scrolls!

Ingredients

Dough
  • 450 grams lukewarm water
  • 3 teaspoons Yeast
  • 3 teaspoons bread improver
  • 20 grams olive oil
  • 750 grams bakers flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • Butter
  • Vegemite
  • Grated Cheese
Filling
  • Other Filling/Toppings
  • Tomato paste, ham and cheese
  • Pesto, feta and sundried tomatoes

Instructions

Thermomix Method
  1. Add all the ingredients listed in order you read them.
  2. Mix on speed 6/6 seconds
  3. Then use dough mode for 4 mins
  4. Put onto Thermomat or into a large bowl and let rest until double in size
  5. Place Thermomat down and punch down dough
  6. Using a rolling pin roll out until right to the edge of your mat roughly 60cm x 40cm
  7. (If you don’t have a mat, make sure you put flour down so it doesn’t stick)
  8. Spread with butter and Vegemite and sprinkle with cheese (or topping of choice)
  9. Roll up into a log and then cut into pieces.
  10. Place on tray and let rest for a further 20 minutes.
  11. Preheat oven to 200 degrees
  12. Place into oven and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
  13. Best eaten within 24 hours or freeze for a grab and go snack
